Amazing Magical Realism Photography

Magical realism photography depicts the real world of people whose reality is different from ours. It endeavors to show us the world through other eyes, where magical elements or illogical scenarios appear in otherwise realistic or even "normal" settings. The most important thing while dealing with this kind of artwork is to try and erase the line that stands as a border between reality and fantasy.

Animal Embryos in Formalin Preservation

In the preservation of animal specimens for study, animals are usually preserved using formalin where the whole body would be immersed in the posture in which it is supposed to stay permanently because it will be hardened. The ratio of formalin to carcass must at least be 12 to 1 to ensure a good fixation.
The images were taken over the course of three years at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. They are of 200 year old animal specimens which were preserved by pioneer anatomist John Hunter (1728 - 1793).

Some of them have even issued coins, flags, postage stamps, passports, medals, and other items.
